“While mourning the death of her family, a hedge witch accidentally creates a magical invasive plant that produces both fond memories and destruction, forcing her to choose between keeping a piece of her family alive or saving herself.”

The miniature was primarily built by the art department. Lucas and his team created panels that would be pulled out via pullies from behind. When a panel would fall, shingles would slide down the roof and smoke would roar out of the hole. This would simulate a fire consuming the house from the inside out. After a take, panels and shingles could be reset quickly for another take. Small details such as the glowing lantern and the chimney smoke helped to sell the miniature as a real house.

Dry Ice Fog

Under the leadership of Bri Lanzen, dry ice fog was used throughout the musical to give the celestial feeling of Mt. Olympus and the grim feeling of the underworld.
